These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Nkwanzi. By creating an account, accessing the platform, publishing content, purchasing content, or using any Nkwanzi service, you agree to comply with these terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the platform.

About Nkwanzi

Nkwanzi is a digital marketplace that connects knowledge creators with readers. The platform provides tools that allow creators to publish written works, educational resources, research materials, and other forms of knowledge-based content while allowing readers to discover and access valuable information.

User Accounts

Users must provide accurate and complete information when creating accounts. Each user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activities carried out through their account. Users must not create accounts using false identities, impersonate others, or use another person's account without permission.

Creator Responsibilities

Creators are responsible for all content they publish on Nkwanzi. Creators must ensure that their content is original, accurate, lawful, and does not violate the rights of other individuals, organisations, or content owners. Publishing content on Nkwanzi does not transfer ownership of that content to Nkwanzi. Creators retain ownership of their work while granting Nkwanzi permission to host, display, distribute, and provide access to the content through the platform.

Content Standards and Intellectual Property

Users must respect intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademarks, and other legal protections. Content that infringes another person's rights, contains unauthorised copies, or violates applicable laws may be removed. Creators are responsible for obtaining any permissions required before publishing content.

Articles, Purchases, and Credits

Nkwanzi may allow creators to set prices for certain content and may provide a credit-based system for readers to access paid materials. Readers are responsible for reviewing content information before making purchases. Purchases made through the platform are subject to Nkwanzi's payment procedures and applicable rules.

Credits, payments, and creator earnings are managed according to the platform's financial processes. Nkwanzi may update pricing structures, payment methods, or credit systems as the platform develops while providing reasonable notice where appropriate.

Payments and Creator Earnings

Where creators become eligible for earnings or payouts, they must provide accurate payment information and comply with any verification requirements. Nkwanzi may delay, review, or restrict payments where there are reasonable concerns regarding fraud, policy violations, inaccurate information, or legal requirements.

Prohibited Activities

Users must not misuse Nkwanzi, interfere with platform operations, attempt unauthorised access, distribute malicious content, conduct fraud, abuse other users, manipulate platform systems, or engage in activities that violate applicable laws of the Republic of Uganda.

Content Review and Account Actions

Nkwanzi may review reported content and user activity to protect the community and maintain platform standards. Where violations occur, Nkwanzi may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate accounts in accordance with these terms and applicable policies.

Availability of Services

Nkwanzi aims to provide reliable services but does not guarantee that the platform will always be available without interruption. Services may be modified, updated, suspended, or discontinued where necessary for maintenance, security, development, or legal compliance.

Limitation of Responsibility

Nkwanzi provides a marketplace that connects creators and readers. While we encourage quality and responsible content, creators remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of their published work. Users should exercise their own judgement when relying on information available through the platform.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising from the use of Nkwanzi shall be handled according to applicable Ugandan laws and legal procedures.

Changes to These Terms

Nkwanzi may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in the platform, services, or legal requirements. Continued use of Nkwanzi after updates means that users accept the revised terms.
